IT Residence Permit — Family Member

h) family member – a spouse, and a minor child of an alien or a person having a status of stateless person in Georgia, or a fully dependent minor, beneficiary of support or disabled person and/or these being under his/her guardianship or custody; a parent of a minor alien or of a minor having a status of stateless person in Georgia; an alien spouse, and a minor child of a citizen of Georgia, or a fully dependent minor and/or a minor under his/her guardianship or custody, and a parent of a minor citizen of Georgia;

l) a temporary residence permit of a person employed in the field of Information Technologies (IT) to be issued to a labour immigrant and an alien registered in Georgia as an Individual Entrepreneur with Small Business Status, who have obtained the right to labour activities and carry out activities determined by an ordinance of the Government of Georgia in the field of information technologies and their family members, as well as a person authorised for the management and representation of international companies operating in the field of information technologies, who has obtained the right to labour activities, and his/her family members.

A document confirming the family connection with the alien having a temporary residence permit for a person employed in the field of the Information Technology (IT);

For the purposes of issuance of an IT residence permit, the documents issued in another state must be submitted in a legalized or apostilled way, unless otherwise established by an international treaty or agreement.

A copy of a residence permit of an alien holding a temporary residence permit for a person employed in the field of the Information Technology (IT);

h) a temporary residence permit provided for by Article 15(l) shall be issued for the term of 3 years for the first time.

. The validity period of a temporary residence permit provided for by paragraph 1(h) of this article may be prolonged by 3 years at a time, up to not more than 12 years.
