Which family relationships qualify?

A father or mother of a minor French child residing in French Polynesia who effectively contributes to the child's maintenance and education (Civil Code art. 371-2) since the child's birth or for at least two years; they receive a one-year 'vie privée et familiale' temporary card.

What is important for proving marriage, partnership, parentage, custody, dependency or another qualifying relationship?

Parentage is proved by a birth extract or full birth certificate showing filiation. Where filiation to the French parent results from recognition, the file must show that the French parent effectively contributes to the child's maintenance and education since birth or for at least two years, or failing that a court decision ordering the French parent to meet those obligations (maintenance or financial contribution).
