What exactly is this: asylum, temporary protection, humanitarian admission, resettlement or another protection mechanism?

A temporary "vie privée et familiale" residence card for a foreigner hosted by a community reception and solidarity-activities organisation (organisme d'accueil communautaire et d'activités solidaires) who can show 3 years of uninterrupted activity there, and the real and serious nature of the activity and integration plans. The card allows residence and work.

The application is filed at the prefecture or sub-prefecture of residence 2 months before the current permit expires, with a report by the host organisation's manager covering the missions, their hours and duration, the seriousness of the activity and integration prospects.
