Who may sponsor or bring the family member, and what immigration/citizenship status must that person hold?

The sponsor is a refugee or subsidiary-protection beneficiary in France, or a person recognised stateless by France, holding a residence permit. Family links must pre-date the asylum request; otherwise ordinary family reunification (regroupement familial) applies.

What is important for proving marriage, partnership, parentage, custody, dependency or another qualifying relationship?

Family members must have been declared to OFPRA when protection was requested, and family ties must predate the asylum application. Family members present civil-status documents proving identity and family ties; without them, they provide evidence of 'possession d'état' and documents issued or authenticated by OFPRA. Children's age is assessed at the date the reunification request was filed.

What important financial, accommodation, insurance or maintenance responsibilities apply?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm the financial, accommodation, insurance or maintenance requirements.

How does the application work at a high level, what rights does the family member receive, how long does the status last, and how can it become independent or longer-term where officially stated?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm the application process, rights, duration and path to independent or longer-term status.

These are the answers currently recorded in the catalogue. A missing or partial answer is not an eligibility decision.
