The lineage records are official documents proving the past or present existence of the principal citizen (for example a Fiji passport, Fiji Citizenship Certificate, birth, death or marriage certificate), and official documents proving the applicant's familial relationship to that principal citizen (relevant birth, marriage and death certificates). A support letter from a Fiji citizen regarded as a family elder, confirming the relationship and accompanied by that elder's national photo ID and birth certificate, is also required, along with the applicant's own certified birth certificate.
