Validity starts from the intended date of entry. The fee table lists single entry for 30 days, multiple entry for 90 days and multiple entry for 6 months. An extension can be requested before expiry: if expired 1-15 days it is extended online, above 15 days in person at the Immigration and Citizenship Service Head Office in Addis Ababa; staying beyond validity without extending leads to fines and legal penalties.
