What organisation, institution, religious body, charity, teacher or host must support the activity?

A church with legal personality under Salvadoran law; the application is made at the request of the church authority or the church's legal representative.

What proves the placement, role, affiliation, experience or cultural/religious/voluntary activity?

Catholic religious: a valid Catholic religious ID card. Other denominations: certified registration with the Ministry of Governance showing the legal representative's appointment, and the Official Gazette publication of the statutes and the executive decision granting legal personality.

Can the person receive salary, pocket money, accommodation, meals or reimbursement? Can they undertake other work?

Catholic religious workers: maintenance is covered by the congregation (notarised declaration by its representative). Other denominations: a notarised sworn statement by the person who will provide maintenance, stating the commitment, its duration and the source of income; if the church will not cover personal expenses, that sworn statement is required. Paid activity is possible only within the religious ministry and requires applying for a work permit.

How long can they stay, can they change host/activity, can family accompany, and can the status be extended?

Residence with multiple entry for up to two years, renewable; the family group may also be included. Religious persons and their family groups are among those who can obtain definitive residence. The official source does not state whether the host can be changed.
