Which family relationships qualify?
Children under 18 coming for adoption, as part of a foster-family relationship, or to live with a close family member (a non-custodial biological parent, sibling, grandparent or parent's sibling); foster-child and close-family cases only if very special conditions/reasons apply.

If you are under 18, you can be granted a residence permit in Denmark under the rules for family reunification if the residence permit is granted for the purpose of: Adoption Residence as part of a foster-family relationship, or Residence with a close family member

A ‘Close Family Member’ can be your biological parent (if he/she is not your custody parent), your siblings, your grandparents and your parents’ siblings.
