For the relevant traveller scope, is a visa, electronic authorisation, visa on arrival or no advance visa normally required?

Whether a visa is needed depends on nationality. Some third-country nationals need a visa for a short stay (up to 90 days in any 180 days) or for transit. Ordinary-passport holders of the countries in Part B of the EU list are visa-exempt, as are holders of Cyprus residence permits and of valid multiple-entry Schengen visas or Schengen residence permits (except Turkish and Azerbaijani citizens).
