Which family relationships qualify?
Under article 3(1)(g) LTU, the spouse who is not legally separated and minor children of an admitted government-deployed person or military member stationed in Curaçao have admission by operation of law. The current family-declaration page provides a reunification application checklist for these family members.

- The current checklist also asks for a notarial cohabitation agreement if cohabiting, but the cited article 3(1)(g) wording specifies spouse and minor children; eligibility of an unmarried partner is not established.

1. Van rechtswege hebben toelating tot verblijf in Curaçao: a. personen van overheidswege uitgezonden, zolang zij in overheidsdienst zijn; b. personen, die in dienst zijn geweest van Curaçao of vóór 10 oktober 2010 in dienst waren van de Nederlandse Antillen of het eilandgebied Curaçao en uit dien hoofde pensioen of uitkering bij wijze van pensioen genieten, alsmede de niet hertrouwde weduwen van 1 P.B. 1966, no. 17. -3- 5 zodanige personen; c. in Curaçao als zodanig toegelaten beroepsconsuls, beroepsconsulaire ambtenaren en ander consulair personeel; d. militairen, gedurende de tijd dat zij in Curaçao zijn gestationeerd; e. opvarenden van tot de zee- of luchtmacht van enige mogendheid behorende schepen of luchtvaartuigen, gedurende de tijd, dat Curaçao met toestemming van de bevoegde autoriteit wordt aangedaan; f. de meerderjarige Nederlanders, niet genoemd in artikel 1, die ten genoegen van de Minister van Justitie aantonen dat zij beschikken over: 1°. een verklaring van goed gedrag gedurende de laatste vijf jaar, afgegeven door het bevoegde gezag binnen twee maanden voor hun aankomst in Curaçao of een schriftelijke verklaring waaruit genoegzaam van hun gedrag blijkt; 2°. huisvesting en voldoende middelen van bestaan om in hun levensonderhoud te voorzien overeenkomstig bij landsbesluit, houdende algemene maatregelen, nader te stellen regels. g. de niet van tafel en bed gescheiden echtgenoot en minderjarige kinderen van de onder a, b, c en d genoemde personen;

Family reunification with military/deployed personnel The requirements that have to be submitted for family members of military and deployed personnel are: Copy valid passport. If several nationalities, copy of all passports; Copy birth certificate1 (not older than 1 year). Show original for inspection; If recognized, copy certificate of recognition1(not older than 1 year). Show original for inspection; Certificate of good conduct (not older than 3 months) for persons of 18 years and older. Submit original; If married: copy marriage certificate1 (not older than 1 year); Show original for inspection. if the couple got married abroad: a copy of the marriage registration at the Public Affairs Department. If the couple immigrates at the same time, only the marriage certificate1 is required, in accordance with the abovementioned. If cohabiting, a copy of the notarial cohabitation agreement that must have been concluded in the Netherlands (BES islands, among others), together with a proof of the unmarried/divorced/widowed status If one of the parents of a child will not come to Curaçao: copy valid passport of the parent staying behind with a notarial declaration of no objection from the parent staying behind or if only the father or mother has parental authority or custody, then a copy of the ruling by the Court. The notarial declaration of no objection or the court decision must be legalized or apostilled. This depends on the country of origin. EU countries are excluded from this. Proof of sufficient financial resources of the main applicant.
