The application may be lodged at the Asylum Seeker's Reception Centre. The intention to apply may also be expressed during border checks, at a police administration or police station, or at an aliens reception centre when the person is already in Croatia.

What happens after the request: registration, family handling, major support and rights where officially stated?

After expressing the intention, an applicant is entitled to stay in Croatia during the procedure. After lodging the application, the applicant receives a card used as a stay permit; the authority also describes reception conditions, health care, education, legal counselling and other rights. Family members of applicants also have a right to stay.
