Where the certificate is renewed indefinitely, the holder must continue to comply with any relevant requirements as a holder, including, where applicable, the payment of prescribed fees. The official source does not state how long the investment must be maintained or any physical-presence condition.

If granted, the certificate is initially for ten years. Before the end of that period, the holder may apply for indefinite renewal at the discretion of the Board or Director; after at least one year holding the indefinite certificate, naturalisation or registration may be pursued if eligible. The official source does not state what happens to the investment.
