Which family relationships qualify?
A foreign national married for at least eighteen (18) months to a Cameroonian citizen receives the resident card by right under Article 21(1) of Law 97/012, provided the marriage still subsists when the card is issued and the Cameroonian spouse has kept Cameroonian nationality. Decree 2023/147, which cites Law 97/012 as modified and completed by Law 2022/015 of 14 July 2022, still lists in Article 20 the spouse of a Cameroonian citizen among resident foreigners, subject to Article 21(1) of Law 97/012.

- The official text of Law 2022/015 itself was not captured (prc.cm returned an application error at fetch time); a secondary legal mirror reproduces its Article 1 as amending Articles 10, 11 and 15 of Law 97/012 only, which is consistent with Article 21(1) being untouched but is not itself official proof.
