What are the few decisive professional characteristics of the pathway: occupation, qualifications, experience, salary, skill level, shortage status, labour-market condition or equivalent?

The decisive characteristic is the link to the exhibiting employer and to a specific fair or exhibition in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The certificate file consists of a copy of the travel document, the organiser’s invitation showing the participation dates, and proof of payment of the administrative fee.

Limits of the record
  • The certificate document list is cited from the ILO NATLEX reproduction of the Rulebook on Entry and Stay of Aliens 25/16; the Official Gazette original is published as scanned images only, and later amendments (83/22, 57/24) did not amend this article according to their captured texts.

What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

The registration certificate lets the person work without a work permit only while a visa, visa-free stay or previously approved temporary residence is valid, for up to 90 days in a year (the 2023 amendment replaced "calendar year" with "a year"). Work may not start before the certificate is issued, and the employer may use the person only for the jobs named in the certificate. The permission is tied to the specific jobs and counterpart named in the certificate. The official source does not state whether family may accompany.

How long is the permission normally granted for, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction exists if officially stated?

The certificate does not grant temporary residence and has no renewal track: it is capped at 90 days in a year, and anyone who intends to work longer must obtain a work permit and a residence permit on the basis of employment with a work permit.
