What exact activity, role or purpose qualifies?

Since the 2023 amendment this class covers performers and technical staff at commercial concerts as well as people employed in circuses or amusement parks. It is a certificate of registered work for a short engagement, not a residence permit.

What organisation, institution, religious body, charity, teacher or host must support the activity?

The host is a natural or legal person in Bosnia and Herzegovina registered for the activity, or, for popular-entertainment artists, an organiser or intermediary registered for it; the 2024 Rulebook amendment also requires municipal consent or approval where such consent is necessary.

What proves the placement, role, affiliation, experience or cultural/religious/voluntary activity?

Proof consists of a copy of the travel document, evidence of the engagement showing its period, the contract or other engagement document with the registered host (or organiser/intermediary for estrada artists) showing rights, obligations and period, municipal consent where required, and proof of payment of the administrative fee under the 2024 Rulebook.

Can the person receive salary, pocket money, accommodation, meals or reimbursement? Can they undertake other work?

The law and rulebook set no minimum earnings or maintenance amount for this class, and the general temporary-residence means test does not apply because no residence is granted. Work may not start before the certificate is issued, and the employer may use the person only for the jobs named in the certificate.

Limits of the record
  • No official source publishes a minimum fee, salary or maintenance amount specific to this class beyond the 100 BAM certificate fee; treat any such amount as not published.

How long can they stay, can they change host/activity, can family accompany, and can the status be extended?

The certificate allows work without a work permit only while a visa, visa-free stay or previously approved temporary residence is valid, for up to 90 days in a year (the 2023 amendment replaced "calendar year" with "a year"). It grants no temporary residence and has no renewal track; anyone intending to work longer must obtain a work permit and a residence permit on the basis of employment with a work permit. It does not address family members; any family residence is governed by the separate family-reunification rules. The official source does not state whether the host can be changed.
