What medical treatment/purpose does the route cover and which applicant role does it address: patient, donor or another medical purpose?

This temporary-residence ground is for a foreigner accompanying and/or caring for another person receiving inpatient medical care at a Belarusian healthcare organisation, when that patient’s health condition requires the accompaniment or care. It is a separate permission for the companion/caregiver.

What acceptance, appointment, referral, treatment plan or healthcare-provider documentation is important?

The legal condition is that the patient receives inpatient care at a Belarusian healthcare organisation and, because of the patient’s health, needs the foreigner’s accompaniment or care. The law says application documents are determined by legislation and assigns the decision to Citizenship and Migration units; the official provisions do not name a particular hospital certificate or treatment-plan form.

How must treatment costs, living costs and insurance be demonstrated?

Belarusian law says healthcare for temporarily residing foreigners is funded from their own resources, legal entities or other lawful sources, subject to legislation and treaties; the cited provision sets no medical-companion living-funds amount. The MFA insurance guidance generally requires health-insurance cover in Belarus for the temporary-residence period, of at least €10,000, proven by policy, card or another insurance document. It lists treaty exemptions for citizens of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia and Turkmenistan.

The statute describes the companion’s own permission; it does not make the status automatic for relatives.

How long can the patient stay, what happens if treatment continues longer, and what official extension or follow-up mechanism exists?

The permission may cover the patient’s treatment period, but no more than one year. The decision is made by a Citizenship and Migration unit. The official law does not establish an extension beyond that one-year cap or guarantee a new permission if treatment continues.
