What investment option or options qualify?
Article 53 lists an investment-based ground for a Belarus permanent-residence permit: a foreign national has invested in Belarus by means not prohibited by legislation, with a minimum investment of 15,000 basic units. The provision does not name eligible asset classes or approved investment products. The IMI programme record states that applicants can invest in establishing businesses, acquiring intellectual property rights, or participating in public-private partnerships, but does not provide an exhaustive list of qualifying investment options under Belarusian law. According to the IMI snapshot, the 15,000 basic units correspond to BYN 675,000.
