Limits of the record
  • The Ministry of Home Affairs Visa Policy 2026 was reviewed in full, including the FSR row for dependants of S and R visa holders and Mandatory visa conditions. It does not specify a financial-support amount, accommodation, health-insurance or maintenance obligation for an FSR dependant or sponsor. This silence does not establish that no such obligation applies; the visa authority may consider individual documentation and other applicable notifications.

How does the application work at a high level, what rights does the family member receive, how long does the status last, and how can it become independent or longer-term where officially stated?

Duration is coterminous with the principal visa holder, and any extension is likewise coterminous with that holder. Employment in Bangladesh is prohibited for the dependant; non-compliance leads to cancellation of the visa. No separate long-term settlement pathway is stated for this dependant category.

Limits of the record
  • No independent renewal ceiling, settlement route or permanent-residence pathway is stated for this dependant category beyond the coterminous rule.
