The applicant is interviewed within 15 days of approaching the State Migration Service; original travel and identity documents are presented and family members attend the required appointments.

05Which competent authority, UN body or official assistance channel should the person use?
The State Migration Service receives and decides asylum applications, and adopts its decision on refugee status within three months from the date the application is registered. UNHCR also publishes information on the asylum application process in Azerbaijan.
