What application progression, residence obligations, family consequences or further citizenship/residence possibilities follow?

There is no permit and nothing to renew: people in one of the article 3 LTU categories need no permit to live and/or work in Aruba, and on request the Minister issues a declaration confirming that they are admitted by operation of law. Under article 5 LTU the admission ends when the reason for which it was granted lapses; for people admitted under article 3(f)-(h), which includes those born in Aruba, also through an uninterrupted stay abroad of more than five years, unless they are abroad for study, medical treatment or public duties for the Land; it can also be ended by a declaration of the Minister after an irrevocable unconditional prison sentence of six months or more for a crime, or on public-order or security grounds.
