Which travellers require a transit visa/permission and which officially documented exemptions are important?

Can the traveller remain airside, and under what circumstances must immigration control be crossed?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm whether the traveller can stay airside and when immigration control must be crossed.

What officially documented baggage collection, terminal, separate-ticket or self-transfer situations affect the immigration requirement?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm the baggage, terminal-change and self-transfer rules.

What maximum transit period, overnight, airport-change or multiple-stop rules matter?

Argentine regulations distinguish two transit situations. Transit passengers, who pass through Argentina only to reach another State and hold an Argentine consular visa for that purpose, are authorised to stay for up to ten calendar days; the National Directorate of Migration may extend this once, for the same period, on justified grounds. Passengers continuing their journey must leave within twelve hours of arrival, must present a confirmed onward ticket and must be declared as such by the carrier; they do not need a consular visa, and the twelve-hour period may be extended when justified. Passengers continuing their journey who must leave through the same place where they arrived must remain within the limits of the airport, station or place of entry or exit. The official source does not state rules on changing airports or on multiple stops.
