What status is obtained, how is it renewed, what longer-term residence/citizenship direction is officially stated, and what happens to the investment when relevant?

After approval, the balance of government processing fees and the business investment amount must be transferred within 30 days of the approval letter (an escrow arrangement may be negotiated given the varied nature of such investments); a certificate of registration is then issued for the primary applicant and family members, and the authorised agent arranges a date to either collect the passport and take the oath or affirmation of allegiance in Antigua and Barbuda, or do so at an embassy, high commission or consular office.
