How long can they stay, can they change host/activity, can family accompany, and can the status be extended?

The voluntary-service single permit is issued for no longer than one year on first issue. Its validity may not exceed the time limits of the relevant voluntary programme. If the voluntary programme lasts longer than one year, the residence permit is renewed according to Article 37 of the law.
