Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

The visa application is made online and, after acceptance, documents are deposited at the relevant Albanian consular office, honorary consulate or an agency contracted by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. The consul checks the application; after acceptance and payment of the fee, an approved applicant collects the visa in person. A visa is issued up to 15 days from acceptance of the application, and in exceptional cases may take up to 30 days. After a refusal, the applicant may reapply only after the appeals procedures have ended or three months after receiving the decision.
